Privacy Policy

Cricket Teams and Players Association Canada ("CTPA") is a not-for-profit organization registered in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with Pipeda (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).
2. Information We Collect
- Identity data: name, email address, phone number, mailing address
- Payment data: PayPal transaction and capture IDs (we do not store card numbers)
- Profile data: cricket role, preferred format, team affiliation
- Vendor data: business registration details, KYC documents, listings
- Usage data: IP address (hashed), pages visited, browser type
- Communications: enquiries submitted through the platform
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process membership applications and payments
- To operate the vendor marketplace and facilitate enquiries
- To send receipts, renewal reminders, and newsletters (where opted in)
- To maintain KYC compliance for vendor accounts
- To improve the platform and prevent fraud
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- PayPal — to process payments
- Vendors — only the information you submit in an enquiry form
- Legal authorities — where required by law
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus 7 years for financial records (CRA requirement). You may request deletion of non-financial data at any time.
6. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Submit requests to privacy@ctpa.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some platform features will not function.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Vendor sessions use signed JWT tokens stored in HttpOnly cookies. Payment data is handled entirely by PayPal and is never stored on our servers.
