Terms of Use
Last Updated: May 2025
← BACK1. Acceptance
By accessing or using any CTPA website, platform, or service ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province, to use the Services independently. Minors may participate in CTPA programmes only with verifiable parental consent.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify CTPA immediately at admin@ctpa.ca if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Vendor Listings
Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. CTPA reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or the Vendor Code of Conduct without notice. Listing approval does not constitute an endorsement.
5. Payments & Recurring Donations
All fees (membership, registration, donations) are processed via PayPal. Membership fees may be refunded within 14 days of payment if your application is rejected by CTPA. Vendor application fees, if applicable, are non-refundable.
Recurring donations renew automatically at the cadence you select (monthly, quarterly, or annual) until you cancel. Each successful renewal triggers an acknowledgement email with a receipt, and reminder emails are sent 48 hours before each scheduled charge when you have opted into reminders. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time from your donor account; cancellation stops future charges but does not reverse gifts already processed.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on CTPA platforms — including logos, photographs, statistics, and copy — is owned by CTPA or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CTPA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CTPA in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
9. Changes
CTPA may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered members.
